Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, (1912). Painted on paper. Georgiana Cavendish (1757-1806) was famous for her beauty, her political campaigning, gambling, and unorthodox domestic arrangements. Her best friend was also her husband's mistress, and Georgiana tolerated a menage a trois for many years. She herself bore a child out of wedlock. A print from One Hundred Silhouette Portraits, Horace Hart, at the University of Oxford Press, 1912.
