Miner at a fairground, Conisbrough, near Doncaster, South Yorkshire, 1955. A miner from a South Yorkshire town on a visit to the Good Friday Fair at Conisbrough, near Doncaster. The Fair ocurred every Easter and miners from the nearby Cadeby pit and others from the surrounding area would visit the fair with their families. The fair still runs to this day.
