East Midlands Gas Board shop window, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, 1961. The East Midlands Gas Board had a shop in central Doncaster for many years. Here in a campaign in 1961 they promote their range of instant water heaters, to enable the citizens of Doncaster to at last have a ready supply of hot water. It looks as they are also suggesting that you could make yourself a cup of tea with the water from the tap!
