Boulle marriage casket (coffret de mariage), 1910. Andre Charles Boulle (1642-1732) was a French cabinetmaker. He is generally considered to be the finset exponent of marquetry and gave his name to a fashion of funiture inlaying (Boulle work). A print from The Book of Decorative Furniture, Volume I, TC and EC Jack Limited, 35 Paternoster Row, and Edinburgh, 1910.
