'The King's Weigh House, Little East Cheap', City of London, 19th century. Previously the site where merchants had their goods weighed to assess customs duties, this became a dissenters' chapel in 1695. It operated here until 1834, when it moved to a larger building on Fish Street Hill; in 1891 it transferred, still as the King's Weigh House Chapel, to Duke Street, Grosvenor Square.
