Aristide Bruant, French cabaret singer, comedian and nightclub owner, 1901. Bruant (1851-1925) was a friend of the artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and featured on a famous poster by the artist, in which he is depicted wearing a red scarf and a black hat and cape.
