Desk of Louis XV, the Louvre, Paris, 1911-1912. Bureau du Roi Louis XV, cylinder desk in French transitional Louis XV-XVI style. Designed by Jean-Francois Oeben, the master cabinet maker of the French royal arsenal and completed in 1769 by his successor, Jean Henri Riesener, in 1769.
