The Horseshoe Club, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, 1956. Vintage postcard showing the exterior of the Horseshoe Club and Hotel Apache. A large neon sign wraps around the corner of the building and the Hotel Apache sign rises above the roof. Parked cars line the street. In 1951 Benny Binion bought the Eldorado Club and Apache Hotel, reopening them as the Horseshoe. From 1953 until 1957 it was run by Joe W Brown (whose name appears on the signs in this photograph), while Binion served time in Leavenworth Penitentiary for tax evasion.
