The first regular trans-continental train at Fernie, British Columbia, Canada, 1886 (1951). The Canadian Pacific Railway, which connects eastern Canada with British Columbia, was built between 1881 and 1885. The first train to arrive at the railway's western terminus did so on 4th July 1886.
