The Kadhimiya, the holy city near Baghdad, from an aeroplane, Iraq, 1925. RAF official photograph. Today a suburb of Baghdad, the Kadhimiya is a holy city to Shia Muslims. Two of the Shia Imams are buried there within the al-Kadhimiya Mosque, which can be seen in the lower left of the photograph. It was built in the 16th century.
