The bouleuterion at Kassope, Greece. A bouleuterion was a building which housed the council of citizens (boule) in Ancient Greece. Kassope is one of the best preserved ancient Greek cities. It was the chief settlement of the Kassopaii, a Thesprotian tribe that broke away from the rest of the Thesprotians around 400 BC and formed an independent state.
