Lleo Morera House, Barcelona, Spain. The Lleo Morera house (1902-1906) was designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner, with an abundant display of floral ornamentation. The house was decorated with the sculptures of Eusebi Arnau. In 1943 the house was remodelled, and much of the facade and interior of the ground floor was changed when the ground floor arches and sculptures were removed. Recently yet another remodelling has attempted to restore some of the original Modernista design. Along with Casa Batllo and Casa Ametllar, it makes up the three most important buildings in Barcelona's famous 'Illa de la Discordia' ('Block of Discord') [formerly known as 'Apple of Discord' (Manzana de la Discordia)], noted for its unique modernist buildings. Contributing artists included Eusebi Arnau (sculptures), Antonio Serra i Fiter (ceramics) Lluis Bru i Salelles and Mario Maragliano (mosaics) and Gaspar Homar (decoration and furniture).
