Ornaments over the main entrance to the Church of Santa Maria del Pi, Barcelona, Spain. The origins of this Gothic church go back to the 10th century, though work on the present building began in 1322 and it was consecrated in 1453. There is a 16th century crypt and its austere front contains a huge rose window. The 13th century side-door is also interesting. The interior consists of a single wide aisle flanked by side chapels. The octagonal bell tower is 54m high.
