The arch of St Anne, Caceres, Spain, 2007. The arch of Saint Anne used to be a postern, or wicket gate, in the city wall. Its current state dates from the 18th century. On the outer side facing the walkway, above the arch, there is a niche with a modern statue group of Saint Anne (Santa Anna), the Virgin and the Baby Jesus. The inside is made of a series of brick rowlock vaults.
