Carving detail, entrance of Tarragona Cathedral, Catalonia, Spain, 2007. Tarragona's cathedral was begun in the 12th century by St Olegarius, the first Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Tarragona to be appointed after the city was recaptured from the Moors in 1116. It combines elements of Romanesque, Arabic and Gothic architectural styles.
