A hall with gothic vaults in the Cathedral of Evora, Portugal, 2009. Construction of the Romanesque Cathedral of Evora began in 1186. According to local legend, the fleet of Vasco de Gama had their flags blessed here in 1497. The Historic Centre of Evora was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986.
