The Rossikon (St Panteleimon Monastery) on Mount Athos, Greece, 1860s. This Russian Orthodox monastery is the largest of the monasteries on Mount Athos. It was originally founded by monks from Kiev Rus in the 12th century. The current monastery was built in the early 19th century. Found in the collection of the Institute for the History of Material Culture, St Petersburg.
