The billiard room, Imperial Palace, Bialowieza Forest, Russia, late 19th century. The Bialowieza Forest straddles what is now the border between Poland and Belarus. In 1888 the whole forest came into Russian hands and became a royal hunting reserve. Found in the collection of the State Museum of History, Moscow.
