Yakov Yurovsky, chief executioner of Tsar Nicholas II and his family, early 20th century. A watchmaker from Perm, Yurovsky (1878-1938) testified to being the leader of the group of Bolsheviks that murdered Nicholas II and his family at Yekaterinburg on 17 July 1918.
