The Synod Printing House, Nikolskaya Street, Moscow, Russia, 1912. Built in the early 1810s, the building stands on the site where Russia's first printed book and newspaper were produced, in 1564 and 1703 respectively. From the early 18th century until the Russian Revolution, religious texts were printed there. Found in the collection of the Russian State Film and Photo Archive, Krasnogorsk.
