Baron Pyotr Nikolayevich Wrangel, White general of the Russian Civil War, 1919. Wrangel (1878-1928) commanded the White (anti-Bolshevik) Volunteer Army in southern Russia in the latter part of the Russian Civil War. Defeat at the hands of the Bolshevik Red Army forced him into exile in 1920. Found in the collection of the State Museum of the Political History of Russia, St Petersburg.
