Pyotr Stolypin, Prime Minister of Imperial Russia, Orel, Russia, 1907. Stolypin (1862-1911) succeeded Ivan Goremykin as Russia's prime minister in 1906. His term of office was notable for agrarian reform and concerted efforts to repress revolutionary groups. He was assassinated in Kiev in September 1911. Found in the collection of the State Museum of the Political History of Russia, St Petersburg.
