'Amphitheatre at Nismes', France, 19th century(?). Built at the end of the first century AD, the amphitheatre of the city Nimes was among the biggest in Roman Gaul. It measures about 133 metres long by 101 metres wide. The facade, 21 metres high, consists of two levels with 60 arches each.
