Tsarevich Alexei as a lance-corporal of the Russian Army, 1917. Alexei Nikolaevich Romanov (1904-1918) was the son of Tsar Nicholas II (1868-1918). He was executed along with the rest of the royal family by the Bolsheviks at Yekaterinburg in 1918. Found in the collection of the State Museum of History, Moscow.
