Jahangir and Prince Khurram with Nur Jahan, c1624-1625. Indian miniature painting. Nur Jahan (1577-1645) was the twentieth and favourite wife of the Mughal emperor Jahangir (1569-1628). Khurram (Shah Jahan) (1592-1666) was Jahangir's third son. He succeeded his father as emperor. Found in the collection of the Freer Gallery of Art, Washington, DC.
