Crown Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden and Crown Princess Margaret, 1910s. Postcard. Gustaf VI Adolf (1882-1973) was King of Sweden from 1950 until his death. He married Princess Margaret of Connaught (1882-1920), daughter of Arthur, Duke of Connaught, the third son of Queen Victoria, in 1905. To the right of the prince and princess is a picture of Sofiero Castle in Scania, which was given to them as a wedding gift. Gustav Adolf continued to use the castle as his summer residence after he became king.
