Building a warship, Cramp's Shipyard, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, 1905. Vintage postcard showing a ship being built in a dry dock. William Cramp & Sons was a shipbuilding company founded in Philadelphia in 1825. The shipyard closed in 1927 but reopened to build cruisers and submarines during World War II before closing again for good in 1947.
