The Moscow Art Theatre, 1920s. The Moscow Art Theatre was founded by Constantin Stanislavski and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko in 1898. After the Russian Revolution it became one of the foremost state-backed theatres in the Soviet Union. Found in the collection of the Russian State Film and Photo Archive, Krasnogorsk.
