The first Proletcult theatre, Moscow, USSR, 1920s. Proletcult was a Soviet cultural movement established after the Russian Revolution. Its purpose was to deliver propaganda promoting Soviet ideology via the medium of the arts. It was active from 1917 until 1925. Found in the collection of the Russian State Film and Photo Archive, Krasnogorsk.
