'The work soldiers', Nuremberg Rally, Germany, 1935. Members of the Reichsarbeitsdienst (Reich Labour Service) on parade. The organisation was founded in 1934 in order to reduce unemployment and provide labour for large state projects such as the construction of the autobahn network. In 1935 membership became compulsory for anyone unemployed aged between 16 and 25. A print from Adolf Hitler.
