Prince George of Wales, Duke of York, c1890-c1893. The future King George V (1865-1936) served actively in the Royal Navy from 1877 until 1891. His naval career was then effectively ended when his elder brother, Prince Albert Victor, died, leaving George second in line to the throne after his father.
