Steamship SS 'Celtic' at the quayside, Liverpool, Lancashire, c1904. Postcard posted in 1904. The 'Celtic' was built by Harland and Wolff in Belfast for the White Star Line's transatlantic trade, entering service in 1901. She was the first ship to exceed Isambard Kingdom Brunel's 'Great Eastern' in terms of gross tonnage.
