Milling district, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, 1910. Vintage postcard showing a view of the milling district and the rail yards. There are trains on the tracks in the foreground and the mill buildings stand behind the tracks. Minneapolis was a centre of flour manufacturing, milling grain from the farms of the Great Plains. By 1905 the city was producing 10 % of the country's flour.
