Minneapolis-Lake Minnetonka Electric Highway (Twin City Lines), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, 1908. Vintage postcard showing an electric streetcar riding the rails situated between two ponds. Twin City Lines was a public transport company established in 1875 that ran streetcar (tram) services. Initially the streetcars were horse-drawn but electrification began in the late 1880s.
