Compton Heights Water Tower, St Louis, Missouri, USA, 1907. Vintage postcard showing a view of the Compton Heights Water Tower and surrounding park. The tower stands next to a beautifully landscaped park and lake. Compton Heights Water Tower was built in 1898. It houses a standpipe designed to equalise water pressure in the water supply pipes to city residents. It is one of three standpipe towers that survive in St Louis.
