Roy Gustav Cullen Memorial Building, University of Houston, Houston, Texas, USA, 1941. Vintage postcard. Designed by Lamar Q Cato and built in 1938-1939, the Roy G Cullen Building is believed to be the first building on a campus of higher enducation in the United States to be air conditioned. It is named after the son of Hugh Roy Cullen, a wealthy businessman and donor to the university, who was killed in an oil industry accident.
