'Houston's welcome to the world, Rice Hotel, Houston, Texas, home of radio station KTRH', 1926. Vintage postcard showing the exterior of the Rice Hotel and a view of Texas Avenue. The hotel was built in 1912 and for many years was one of Houston's grandest. It closed in 1977 but the building was converted into apartments in 1998.
