Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich of Russia, early 20th century. Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich (1891-1941) was the second child and only son of Grand Duke Paul Alexandrovich. He was a grandson of Tsar Alexander II and a first cousin of Nicholas II. He was one of the group of young noblemen who murdered the mystic Grigori Rasputin, who they believed had too much influence over Nicholas and the Tsarina Alexandra. Found in the collection of the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia, Moscow.
