Russian author Anton Chekhov in his studio, Yalta, Crimea, Russia, 1901. Chekhov (1860-1904) is regarded as one of Russia's finest playwrights and one of the greatest writers of short stories. He moved to Yalta in 1899. Found in the collection of the Institute of Russian Literature IRLI (Pushkin-House).
