Marble head of Doryphoros (Roman copy after original by Polykleitos), c450-c440 BC. Doryphorus (Spear-Bearer) was a famous bronze sculpture made by Polykleitos in the 5th century BC. Found in the collection of the State Hermitage, St Petersburg.
