Clock on Carfax Tower, Oxford, Oxfordshire, 1974. The tower is all that remains of the 13th century St Martin's Church, which was demolished in 1896 to make room for traffic. The two mechanical figures of men, known as quarterboys, strike the bells on the quarter hour.
