A Roman replica of a classical Greek relief, showing from right to left Orpheus, Eurydice and Hermes. The names above the figures are incorrect and appear to have been added in medieval times. Hermes is acting as a psychopomp, seprating Orpheus from Eurydice and taking her back to the underworld. From the Louvre's collection.
