Detail of the funerary stele of a singer in the temple of Amon. In the upper panel the decased stands before Osiris, Judge of the dead. On the lower panel Hathor as the cow-headed lady of the sycamore gives the bread and water of life to the deceased and her soul, symbolised by her soul-bird or Ba.
