Roman terracotta Campana plaque showing Theseus lifting a huge rock under which his father Aigeus, King of Athens had hidden the sword and sandals Theseus needed for his perilous journeys. Theseus mother Aithra stands behind him pointing to the items. Found in Cerveteri, Lazio, Italy. From the British Museum's collection.
