Roman tombstone of Marcus Favonius Facilis, centurion of the 20th Legion, and of the Pollian tribe in north Italy, from Colchester in Essex. He has a sword, dagger, and a vine-staff as a symbol of rank. He is wearing a chain mail corselet and belt with metal ornament. The stone would originally have been painted. In the Colchester and Essex Museum, 1st century BC.
