Interior of the Hermitage Theatre, St Petersburg, Russia. The theatre was built in the 1780s by order of Catherine the Great. The Palladian building was designed by Italian-born architect Giacomo Quarenghi. It was closed by the Bolsheviks after the Russian Revolution but re-opened in 1991.
