'Portrait of Philip William, Prince of Orange', late 17th or early 18th century(?). The eldest son of William the Silent, Philip William (1554-1618) succeeded his father as Prince of Orange in 1584. In 1568, while William the Silent was leading the revolt Dutch Revolt against their Spanish rulers, Philip William was taken to Spain, where he was brought up and educated as a Catholic and a loyal Spanish subject. Found in the collection of the State Art Museum, Tula, Russia.
