'The Expulsion of Saint Roch from Rome', late 15th century. German painting of the Swabian School. Legend holds that a dog found St Roch suffering from the plague, and summoned help. St Roch survived the plague and is associated with numerous miracles of healing. Found in the collection of the Far Eastern Art Museum, Khabarovsk, Russia.
