Menander, Greek playwright. Roman sculpture after the original by Kephisodotos and Timarchos, sons of Praxiteles. Menander (c342-291 BC) is the best known playwright associated with Athenian New Comedy. Found in the collection of The Hermitage, St Petersburg.
