Limerick - Thomond Bridge and King John's Castle, 1896. The current bridge was built in 1836, replacing an earlier bridge. King John's Castle is a 13th century castle located on King's Island in Limerick, Ireland. Built on the orders of King John in 1200 it is one of the best preserved Norman castles in Europe.
